Wet-Lab: Common Emergency Procedures

AbVMA - approval for 2.5 hrs of CE Credit
Topics/Procedures covered will include:
- Nasogastric/Nasoesophageal Tube Placements
- Esophagostomy
- Chest Tube Placements
- Abdominocentesis & thoracocentesis
- Tracheostomy
Attendant Requirements:
Wearing scrubs is highly recommended as we will be working with cadavers.
Speaker Biography:
Erin Simmonds completed her veterinary degree in 2007 at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. From there she moved to Pittsburgh to complete a 1 year internship in emergency and critical care medicine. Having confirmed her passion for emergency and critical care, she remained in Pittsburgh to complete a 3 year residency before moving back to Canada. She joined the amazing team at Guardian Veterinary Centre in 2011 and is now the medical director.
